Our fun Spanishtime art activities are comprised of painting, drawing, coloring, crafts and more. While exploring art, your student will be immersed in Spanish vocabulary and expressions naturally as the class is taught in 100% Spanish immersion. So join us weekly to practice your Spanish through art and let your imagination and learning flourish as you continue your Spanish language journey!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Spanish Art Clubs are fun, interactive art classes taught in 100% Spanish Immersion. Learn Spanish through art. Each class students will complete an awesome art project. We will use materials such as water colors, markers, colored pencils, scissors, and goacha paints to inspire their creativity! Classes are taught in Spanish. This will enhance their Spanish fluency by increasing both their Spanish comprehension and vocabulary. Students are allowed to converse in English, however the teacher will respond in Spanish and uses ‘show and tell’ to further guide the students in the art project.

*NOTE: A list of materials needed will be emailed to registered participants 1-2 weeks prior to your first class.

Students can join our teacher with only 3 friends (same age group/Spanish level) for an incredible experience of weekly zoom art projects and fun while improving their Spanish listening and speaking skills! The focus will be on supporting and improving Spanish fluency as your student participates in creative art projects.

We keep class sizes small so that all students participate. By grouping students with similar ages and skill levels, this allows us to help he entire group advance and learn together. Each student will be met at his or her level and challenged to work on enhancing their own speaking skills while participating. By teaching art in Spanish we create a fun, safe environment for each student’s confidence to grow and increase their own Spanish fluency!

General Guidelines, Cancellation, and Refund Policies of Online Lessons:

No Refunds for online classes unless canceled a week in advance.
A limited number of spots are available.
“No shows” count as a paid class.
Make-up lessons are only available if another class day/time has spots open.
Lessons canceled by a Spanishtime Teacher always receive either a substitute teacher or credit for a make-up lesson.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

+ We missed the first week of Spanish Conversation Club, can we still sign up?

YES! Classes are ongoing and each class is independent so you can sign up anytime if space is available.

+ Will my student be behind if they missed a class?

NO! Each class stands alone. Every class is a different conversation and meant to allow students to feel relaxed and participate in whatever the daily topic may be. This will enhance a student’s individual skill level and get them excited about learning and practicing more Spanish!

+ How much will my student improve in one week?

Your student will gain vocabulary through participating in discussions and interactive activities when teacher planned. Your student will improve from whatever level he or she started at and walk away with a better foundation for learning more Spanish. The focus is to give students a relaxed, comfortable environment for them to practice their own speaking and listening skills. A place where asking questions is encouraged and well recognized.

+ My child doesn't speak Spanish well, can they speak English during class?

YES! No prior Spanish is required! While the teacher will speak in 100% Spanish (occasionally translating when necessary), your student can absolutely answer in English and we will help them learn how to answer in Spanish. In addition, the other students may help by giving answers both verbally and in the chat portion of the zoom meeting.

+ My student has never done a zoom class before. How do they know what to do?

Spanishtime teachers start the class with a quick ‘how to’ for zoom commands as well as quick ways to ‘ask for help’ or ‘tell the teacher they don’t understand’ and other helpful responses. The students can also send a private chat message to the teacher during the zoom call (older students) if they don’t understand something or want to ask a question.

+ How do I access the Zoom class?

With our new Spanishtime app for iphones and ipads, the zoom/skype link and meeting information will be in the class details in your scheduled class. You can download the app on multiple devices using the same login information. You can either launch the meeting right from the Spanishtime app on that device or email yourself the information on another device to login.

+ I'm not sure if my student will like it, can they try it first?

YES! You can sign up for a trial class ($15/class) and then if you choose to continue you just pay as you go once we register you for the remaining classes.
